Stars of the Night:
AAA – Lucas Duda (1-for-4, 3B, 2 RBI)
AA – Scott Shaw (1.1. IP, H, 3 K)
HiA – Manny Garcia (1-for-4, 2B, K)
LoA – Jefry Marte (2-for-4, 3B, RBI)

AAA – Buffalo Bisons

Dylan Owen had one of his worst games in AAA in terms of his peripherals yet he somehow picked up his third win since his promotion. Owen labored through 5 innings throwing over 100 pitches giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits and 2 walks. Luckily for Owen the offense was able to put up a 4 spot in the fifth inning thanks to a series of of singles, errors, and a 2-run triple from Lucas Duda. The bullpen was also fantastic throwing up zeroes for 4 innings.

AA – Binghamton Mets

Not a good start from Michael Antonini who struggled with his command throughout the game, but great bullpen performances from Scott Shaw and Emary Frederick (not so good from Eddie Kunz) kept the BMets in the game. The BMets tried to battle back in the 8th getting the tying runs on and the go ahead run at the palte with 2 outs, but the pinch hitting Jose Coronado flied out to end the end threat.

HiA – St. Lucie Mets

It seems like every game in the “pitcher friendly” Florida State League has the Mets starting pitcher getting beat up, especially with the big three of Carson, Allen, and Jeurys Familia. Familia got through the first two innings 1-2-3 and then a lead off walk in the third inning turned into a disaster. On the next pitch the Marauders attempted a sac bunt and Familia through the ball away which would actually allow for some of the 5 runs in the inning to be unearned. Familia threw 1 wild pitch before the end of the inning and another one in the next inning to just cap off his disaster. The Marauders just kept pouring on the runs, but it didn’t really matter as Brian Leach was shutting down the Mets lineup.

LoA – Savannah Sand Gnats

Why James Fuller is not getting moved up to the struggling St. Lucie rotation I do not know. He has been ridiculous pitching to a 23:77, BB:K in 78.1 innings and given up just 59 hits while maintaining a solid 40% ground ball percentage including 10 ground ball outs tonight. To sum it up he has been absolutely dominant and I want to see if he will be able to hold up at the upper levels of the minors. Jefry Marte has been red hot lately going 7-for-11 in the last three games with 3 doubles, a triple, and 4 RBI’s. While he made his 19th error (that is just a ridiculous amount of errors) tonight he seems locked in at the plate and he will have to be followed closely to see if he can keep it up. 2 hits from Juan Lagares has his average back up to .300.
