2010 Binghamton Mets Opening Day Lineup

Starting Rotation:
Eric Niesen, who led the Mets minor league system in strikeouts last year, earned himself the opening day start for the 2010 season. He will be followed in the rotation by Brad Holt, Scott Shaw, Michael Antonini, and wait for it Eddie Kunz?!?!? Yes the former 1st round pick and closer Oregon State closer is being converted to a starting pitcher. He has struggled lately with both his sinker and slider flattening out and losing their effectiveness, but he claims to have a newly found change up that he can throw real well. I don’t think anyone saw this coming as I am not even sure if Kunz has pitched out of the stretch since he was child.
