AA – Binghamton Mets

Since moving into the rotation Josh Stinson has just gotten better and better. He has increased his ground balls, giving up less hits, and pitching to a .94 WHIP compared to a 1.23 as a reliever. As each game goes on he appears to get better and better. The two new BMets contributed big time to the offensive outburst combining to go 6-for-11 with 3 RBI’s and 2 runs. While his average has been high all year Eric Campbell is finally showing some power slugging .581 in his last ten games during which he has hit 2 of his 3 home runs.

AAA – Buffalo Bisons
One of the worst performers in a win you can ask for from a pitcher.  Bobby Parnell got shelled for 3 runs in just 2 innings of work.  The only positive from Parnell’s outing are the 3 strikeouts and no walks.  Justin Turner has just been gold since being claimed off of waivers.  He has had a hit in every game since coming over and started the ninth inning rally with a single, even scoring the game winning run.  Shockingly, Jesus Feliciano was just one of two starters without a hit.

AA – Binghamton Mets

After early struggles Clint Everts continued a string of 3 scoreless appearances and in his last 5 appearances has given up just 1 run over 6 innings.  Josh Stinson got his second got his second consecutive start and was solid, but nothing special.  Giving up just two hits and getting seven ground ball outs is great, but the 3:1 BB:K leaves a lot to be desired.  Offensively Reese Havens has been on fire lately.  In his last three games he has a staggering four home runs and six RBI’s.  His slugging% in Double-A is up to .773.

HiA – St. Lucie Mets

LoA – Savannah Sand Gnats

Just a great performance from Mark Cohoon.  I still don’t know what to think about him going forward, but he was just absolutely dominant tonight.  He did everything you could have asked for by striking guys outs, walking almost no one, keeping the ball on the ground, and giving up just a few hits.  Probably the best pitched game of any starter all year.  The 3-4-5 hitters were 0-for-11 as Wilmer Flores saw his average drop below .300, but luckily the number 9 and number 1 hitters picked up the slack driving in 4 combined runs.
