Jon Niese continued to pitch like a beast with a complete game 7inning shutout. I am hoping to watch the video for this game maybe tomorrow to get a look on how Niese is looking to go along with the amazing stats he has been posting. Continue reading →

Thanks to the worst offense in AAA Jon Niese took the ND on a game he should have easily won. The only other team who could do this bad offensively for a pitcher is non other than the New York Mets. Niese was masterful throwing just 102 pitches over 8 innings. Niese recorded an outstanding 14 groundball outs to just 6 flyball outs and was consistently in the zone throwing 69% strikes. Superb month of June for Niese. [...] Continue reading →

Jon Niese was absolutely dealing tonight and continuing his recent success. Over his last three starts he is 2-1 with a 0.89 ERA. He also has great peripherals over that time with 5 walks and 19 strikeouts in 20.1 innings. Tonight was just a masterful start throwing only 94 pitches (64 strikes) over 7 innings striking out 8, walking just 1, ad giving up just 6 hits. Continue reading →
