The Mets went to extra innings for the second straight day, but this time the game ended. The Mets lost 7-5 after giving up 2 urns in the top of the 10th inning thanks to Kiko Calero.

After all the big talk surrounding Hisanori Takahashi the last few days he didn’t follow through after getting the “start” in this game. He got hit pretty hard giving up 4 hits (all extra base hits). He still maintained his impeccable control. He looks greatly suited for a job in the bullpen and can be that “Darren Oliver” the Mets have lacked the last few years.
David Wright looks like he is coming to play this season. Just in time for the season he is picking things up with 3 hits including a double. I like the power he has been showing so far in spring training even if some of his homeruns have been out of luck. This season is going to be the one where David is going to have to step it up and carry his team if he wants to become a true leader like Derek Jeter.
