Mets Farm Report: June 19th, 2010
ByStars of the Night:
AAA – Dillon Gee (6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, ER, 7 K)
AA – Eric Campbell (4-for-5, 2 HR, 2B, 4 RBI, 3 R, K)
HiA – Jordany Valdespin (2-for-5, 2 RBI, K)
LoA – Pedro Zapata (3-for-4, BB, R)
SSA – Darrell Ceciliani (2-for-5, 2 RBI, R)
AAA – Buffalo Bisons

Dillon Gee pitched a great game, but unfortunately for him his bullpen was not up to task tonight. Roy Merritt got his first real taste of AAA giving up 6 runs on 4 hits (all doubles!) and a walk in just .1 innings.
AA – Binghamton Mets

I can guarantee you this. If Clint Evertswas not a former 1st round pick he would not be on this roster right now. He has nothing going for him other than he pedigree. Even though Josh Satin and Luis Hernandez might be the heroes of this game it was the Eric Campbell show. He continued his season long hot streak by going 4-for-5 with 2 home runs, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI’s. He is having a great season and is making himself a ‘prospect’.
HiA – St. Lucie Mets

Kyle Allen was pitching a great game through 4 innings, actually holding a no-hitter, and then things began to fall apart in the 5th. He gave up 2 runs in the inning on 4 hits, but things would have been much worse had Jean Luc Blaquiere not picked the leadoff runner off 1st base. Things got worse for Allen in the 7th when after already giving up 2 runs he left with runners on 1st and 3rd for Stephen Clyne who game up a double and an inherited runner before getting out of the inning. Jordany Valdespin continues to serve as the linchpin of the offense with 2 more RBI’s today.
LoA – Savannah Sand Gnats

Brandon Moore carried a no-hitter all the way into the 8th inning when he gave up a lead off single and then things began to crumble as the inning would end in a 4-4 tie thanks to Erik Turgeon coming in and allowing the runner on 3rd base to score on a wild pitch.
SSA – Brooklyn Cyclones

Yesterday it was clear the Darrell Ceciliani was the best player on the field and he showed that again tonight, but what I want to know is how the huge Jeff Flagg stole a base.
