After Eric Niesen gave up 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk in the first inning then the B-Mets battled back in the bottom of the inning to take the lead on a Lucas Duda grand slam. It’s nice for Duda to show some kind of power of just .113 on the season. Niesen’s stats have just been bitter-sweet since moving to AA with good strikeout rates, but poor ERA and having been too hittable.

| Stinson | 1.2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 4.00 |
It appears that Brant Rustich has been put in a full time bullpen role. Rustich was victimized by Jake Eigsti and Zach Lutz errors plus his own poor pitching to give up 5 runs and 1 earned run before being bailed out by Josh Stinson who came in to strikeout the last two hitters of the innign.

Robert Carson had by far his worst start of the season lasting just 1.2 innings and giving up his 2nd homerun of the year. Giving up 7 hits while getting just 5 outs is Oliver Perez territory. Phillips Orta has been much much better of late piching to a 1.50 ERA in June and keeping the walks down to 2 in 6 innings.

Well talk about an odd complete game shutout. Collin McHugh picked up the win in a 5 inning ‘complete game shutout’ for his 4th win of the season. Stop batting Robbie Shields 8th move him to 2nd.
