It started out with Brad Holt who gave up 4 runs in 3.1 innings (did strike out 6 though) and gave up 1 homerun on a fastball and got even worse when the bullpen gave up 8 runs in 5.2 innings with Stephen Clyne having the worst performance.
Shawn Bowman had a great game after slumping for a while going 4-4 with a double. Caleb Stewart drove in the only run with his 2nd homerun of the season. Ike Davis’s average dropped to .257 after going 1-2 in his last 3 games (5k’s, 0 walks). Jose Coronado had a multi hit game going 2-5 with a double.

Eric Beaulac was back to starting depsite asking to become a permanent reliever and by the stats you can see why. The dude is dominant. Gave up 2 runs early, but settled down and struck out 9 over 6 innings of work. To see what he was throwing visit Mike Newman’s twitter. Rhinor Cruz got into some serious trouble into the 9th leaving with runners on 1st and 2nd leaving it up to Phillips Orta to come on and bail him out.
Half the offense came off the bat of Raul Reyes who drove in the game winning runs in the 5th inning with a 2-run homerun. Wilmer Flores had 3 more hits and is now batting .400 over his last 10 games and is batting .283 on the season. Josh Satin (2-4) is due for a promotion soon.

MARK COHOON!! Talk about a game. Dude could not be stopped giving up 3 hits and NO WALKS while striking out EIGHT over 8 innings. Now has 19ks in 20 innings while only giving up 10 hits over 3 games that he has won all of. Think of a Scott Shaw type pitcher when you think of Cohoon. He also had 12 groundball outs to only 3 flyball outs. VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE.
With the magnificent pitching the Cyclones didn’t need much offense, but was able to muster out 5 runs. Three of the runs came from a Luis Rivera homerun in the 6th. Alex Gregory (0-4) and Juan Centeno (0-3) took 0′fers and Sam Honeck went 1-4.
