Last week on WFAN radio talk show host Ed Coleman reported that Nick Evans was suffering from clinical depression. Evans was 7-75 (.093) in 22 AAA games before being demoted to AA where he has not played a game since May 10th. Evans broke into the scene with a great debut against the Colorado Rockies last year and was hot in spring training, but once he lost the job to Sheffield he was plain and simply sucked.
…I feel bad for the kid and hope he is okay. Myabe he will pull a Zack Grienke and come back just as dominant. One can only hope things would work out so well for him…
